Wayra Germany expands its cooperation with corporate partners to support startups and starts its cross−industry program with Fluxunit GmbH– OSRAM’s venture capital arm. A more mature startup from the field of the Industrial Internet of Things (Industrial IoT) is being looked for, which offers solutions for productivity and efficiency, asset tracking, as well as value creation and industrial wearables. The founding team can realize a four−month technology project together with Telefónica and OSRAM, thus being able to win both industry leaders as customers. Furthermore it will receive access to technology and management experts from the network of these companies and will be supported by professional project management. This cooperation will also be directly profitable for the parent companies of Wayra Germany and Fluxunit – i.e. Telefónica and OSRAM. Industrial IoT startups can apply until June 29th, 2018.

The aim of this project is to find new and enhanced solutions for industrial production and for the Industrial Internet of Things. Applicants should be startups working especially on cross−sector solutions, thus helping to handle relevant challenges for telecommunication and industrial companies. “With the Cross−Industrial Program we enable young founders to develop their technology solution−orientated and branch−independent. At the same time we of Wayra Germany want to facilitate the access to Telefónica for startups”, explains Christian Lindener, managing director at Wayra Germany. “The direct project business and intensive coaching by industrial experts will enable the selected startup to make progress in the further development of its products and its business approach.”

Fluxunit GmbH – OSRAM Ventures is the second corporate partner looking for startups together with Wayra Germany. This spring Telefónica’s Startup−Track, in cooperation with Volkswagen Data:Lab, had started the search and elected a young founder team for sponsoring. All in all this is the fourth Start−up−Call of Wayra Germany since its relaunch in November 2017. The application period starts on May 18th, 2018 and ends on June 29th, 2018.
