Munich, May 31, 2022 - Wayra Germany, the open innovation and investment hub of telecommunications group Telefónica, today announces its investment in SEO software tubics. The Vienna-based start-up has developed a cloud-based software platform for video marketing with a focus on YouTube to enable companies to optimise their channels for more organic traffic and better engagement in a data-driven way. Companies can thus significantly improve their marketing and branding activities. Wayra participates in the current seed round and invests together with Ralph HarreiterAlexander Kirchgasser and other investors in the amount of € 1.4 Million.

Dieter Rappold, CEO of tubics, explains: "Due to its deep tech know-how - especially in the area of B2B software - Wayra is a perfect fit for us as Telefónica's open innovation and investment hub. We are therefore delighted that Wayra will support us in the future not only as an accelerator but also as an investor."

Marko Stokic, Investment Analyst at Wayra Germany, says: "We are happy to support and accompany tubics in their success story, as the start-up from Austria is one of the leading SaaS video marketing platforms. The solution takes video marketing to a new level: Not gut feeling but sound data decides which content is considered promising. tubics customers such as Amazon Prime and Samsung are not only enabled with video SEO but actively supported in brainstorming and with concrete and detailed suggestions for improvement. So videos are optimised from the first to the last second for minimum drop-off rates and maximum reach - that's unique."

The goal of the investment is to support tubics in scaling and expanding its own solution in a short time so that in the future, all video content can be analysed and optimised. Wayra uses the solution in marketing to optimise video marketing and - for example, through targeted tutorials - to increase customer satisfaction.

Video is the most powerful form of digital communication. But brands still produce high-quality video content based on gut feeling. Resources are wasted, and the content disappoints the intended target audience. tubics is a leading global SaaS platform for data-driven video marketing. Over 170,000 YouTube channels from well-known brands, companies and creators have used tubics and increased their organic video views by 2 to 9 times. Among them are renowned brands and companies such as Amazon Prime, Henkel, Nestlé, BitPanda, Lancome, Biotherm, L'Oréal, Samsung, Tommy Hilfiger, etc.
